Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport **** – Irlandia

Four star Crowne Plaza is located 10 minutes away from Dublin Airport. These 10 minutes can be either by taxi or electric bus which for its guests is offered by the hotel free of charge.

In February 2020 during business trip to Dublin I stayed in STANDARD KING BEDROOM. It has big comfortable bed, two comfort armchairs, desk and a chair where you can work.

It’s equipped with electric kettle and a fridge – first in my life which had a sticker that if you take something, you’ll be charged for it immediately. The fridge was empty. In the room I have also tested trousers electronic iron which I never seen – and it actually worked! As I didn’t have time, I have not even tested brand new TV with option to cast Neftlix or HBO (at least this is what was written).

In the room there is a wardrobe, but equipped only with hangers for suits or shirts. It has zero shelves for anything else. There is also no hanger for a jacket outside of a wardrobe.

Not very often one can find BATHROOM with shower and a bath in one room.

If you’re into sports I recommend visiting a GYM. It is not big, but OK for a quick training. Unfortunately I forgot to take any pictures.

If you like running, just outside the building there is nice, green park which full circle is 2 km.

During my stay I have tried few offers from hotel’s restaurant and bar. All were descent and pretty tasty. Below you can find example of a dinner for one person.

As for a lunch, you can have such open sandwich with prawns (12 Euro)

BREAKFASTS are also very cozy and there is a lot to choose from. Do not miss the bacon!

Hotel’s WIFI is very strong and works without any drops.

There is an inside PARKING for the facility guests, but I have no idea how much it costs.

Hotel definitely needs some renovation, but as for 4* estate so close to the airport & costing around 100 Euro per night is a fair deal.

If you think of going to the City Centre, just few minutes away there is a bus stop which can get you there within around 40 minutes at the price of 3 Euro and. Taxi costs 20-25 Euro one way.

If anybody needs to be close to the airport, hotel is worth thinking of. If you want to take advantage of a night life or sightseeing, I would look for other options which are closer to main attractions.

P.S. Just 100 meters away from Crowne Plaza there is a restaurant Gourmet Food Parlour where you can taste some good meals at a fair prices – three course menu at 28 Euro including glass of red / white home wine.
